Updated: Sep 17

When you're craving ribs but don’t have all day to cook, these Quick and Smoky Party Ribs are your solution! Packed with a bold combination of Claibe's Texas Voodoo Spicey Cajun Rub and Sweet & Smokey Chicken & Pork Rub, these ribs bring together layers of sweet heat and robust smoky flavor. Perfect for any gathering, these ribs cook in just over two hours, giving you all the satisfaction of slow-smoked BBQ without the wait.

Ingredients:

·         2 racks of baby back ribs

·         2 tbsp Claibe's Texas Voodoo Spicey Cajun Rub

·         3 tbsp Claibe's Sweet & Smokey Chicken & Pork Rub

·         1 stick unsalted butter

·         ½ cup light brown sugar

·         ½ bottle Bachan’s Original BBQ Sauce

The Prep:

Unlike traditional rib recipes that require time-consuming steps like peeling the membrane, these Party Ribs are all about convenience and flavor. Simply trim any excess fat from the ribs and then slice them between the bones, so each rib is separated. This step ensures every rib gets evenly seasoned and cooked.

Next, generously season the ribs on all sides with Claibe's Texas Voodoo Spicey Cajun Rub and Sweet & Smokey Chicken & Pork Rub. This combination delivers a punchy, Cajun-inspired spice with a sweet and smoky undertone. Let the seasoning adhere for about 15 minutes—just enough time to get the grill or smoker going.

The Cook:

Preheat your smoker or grill to 275°F. If you're using a smoker, we recommend a blend of hickory and Post oak for a rich, smoky flavor.

Place the ribs on the grill and let them smoke for 90 minutes. You’ll notice a beautiful, deep color developing on the ribs as they soak up all that smoky goodness.

Wrapping and Finishing:

After 90 minutes, transfer the ribs to a large aluminum pan. Add 1 stick of unsalted butter, ½ cup of light brown sugar, and ½ bottle of Bachan’s Original BBQ Sauce. This step locks in moisture while adding an irresistible sweet-savory glaze to the ribs. Toss the ribs in the mixture until they’re fully coated, then cover the pan tightly with foil.

Return the pan to the smoker or grill and cook for another 45 minutes. Once the ribs reach an internal temperature of 205°F, they’re perfectly tender. Remove the ribs, from the pan and grill off for about 5 minutes on an open flame grill to set the sauce and lightly char the glaze. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve these Quick and Smoky Party Ribs on a large platter and let your guests dig in! They pair beautifully with sides like grilled corn, baked beans, or a refreshing coleslaw. For a bit of extra flair, drizzle some additional Bachan’s Original BBQ Sauce on top or sprinkle with chopped parsley for added color.

Now you've got the ultimate recipe for impressing your guests on any occasion. Enjoy!
