Hog Heaven Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Enjoy the classic taste of pulled pork sandwiches, enhanced with the sweet and mild flavors of Claibe’s Hog Heaven Rub. Perfect for any BBQ gathering.


Ingredients


  • 4-5 lbs. pork shoulder (Boston butt)

  • 4 tablespoons Claibe’s Hog Heaven Rub

  • 1 cup apple juice

  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

  • Buns, coleslaw, and pickles for serving


Preparation Instructions


  1. Preheat your smoker to 250°F.

  2. Rub the pork shoulder generously with Claibe’s Hog Heaven Rub.

  3. Let the pork marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight for best results).


Cooking Instructions


  1. Place the pork shoulder on the smoker and cook for 4-5 hours, spritzing with a mixture of apple juice and apple cider vinegar every hour.

  2. Wrap the pork shoulder in aluminum foil and continue smoking for another 2-3 hours until the internal temperature reaches 195°F.

  3. Let the pork rest for 30 minutes, then shred it using two forks. Mix with barbecue sauce.


Serving Suggestions


Serve the pulled pork on buns with coleslaw and pickles.
