Updated: Jul 21

These smoked wings are bursting with flavor from the combination of Claibe's “These Bee’s Honey BBQ Rub” and to add a little kick, “Texas Voodoo” BBQ Rub.  This time however we are adding some off the shelf Buchan's® Original Japanese BBQ Sauce, in the marinade to accent the  bold heat of the sweet-savory notes . Perfect for any BBQ enthusiast, these wings will surely be a hit at your next gathering!

 Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of chicken wings

  • 1 cup Buchan's® The Original Japanese BBQ Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons Claibe's Texas Voodoo Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons Claibe's These Bee’s Honey BBQ Rub

Garnish

  • 1/2 cup green onions

  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame seeded

Prepare the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine Buchan's® The Original Japanese BBQ Sauce, Claibe's Texas Voodoo Seasoning, Claibe's These Bee’s Honey BBQ Rub.  Mix well to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

Marinate the Wings

Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them in the marinade until they are well-coated.  Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. For best results, let the wings marinate overnight.

Prepare the Smoker

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (110°C).

Preferred wood is either Post Oak or Hickory for a rich smoky flavor.

Smoke the Wings

Place the marinated wings on the smoker grates, ensuring they are evenly spaced out.

Smoke the wings for about 2 to 2.5 hours or until they reach an internal temperature of 175°F (74°C). The skin should be crispy and the meat tender.

Finishing Touch

During the last 30 minutes of smoking, baste the wings with additional Buchan's® The Original Japanese BBQ Sauce to enhance the flavor and add a glossy finish.

Serve

Remove the wings from the smoker and let them rest for a few minutes.

Serve hot, garnished with a sprinkle of fresh green onions (chives) and sesame seeds.

Enjoy
